These easy cupcakes have no toxic ingredients are perfect for dogs, filled with peanut butter and banana complete with a peanut butter frosting. There are some more involved recipe's for PB Pupcakes on the web but I enjoy this one because it's simple and my dog's can't get enough of them!
INGREDIENTS
For the Cupcake:
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
- 1 medium banana (mashed)
- 2 tablespoons local organic honey
- 1/2 cup wheat flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
For the Frosting:
- 2 ounces cream cheese
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat the oven to 350*F. Rub coconut oil around the rim of the muffin pan to prevent sticking or use liners.
2. Stir in peanut butter, oil, banana, and honey. Stir in flour, baking soda, and baking powder until combined. Evenly distribute between the muffin tins. Bake 10-20 minutes, until browned and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool completely before frosting.
3. Banana frosting: Stir in cream cheese and peanut butter together. Frost. Serve immediately.
